Audit-ready regulatory advisory, across every practice.
How Grant Thornton uses RegAlytics to power regulatory advisory across audit, tax, and risk advisory. Cross-practice access, dedicated coverage configurations, and a traceable record of which regulatory changes were reviewed and actioned.
The challenge
Grant Thornton’s advisory engagements need an auditable record of which regulatory changes were reviewed, by whom, and when. The previous tooling produced PDFs that did not survive an audit. Three different practices were running three different monitoring systems and arriving at three different answers.
What changed
Grant Thornton consolidated regulatory monitoring onto the RegAlytics data layer with practice-specific coverage configurations. Each engagement carries a tagged review trail that maps directly to the firm’s controls framework. Audit, tax, and risk advisory now read from the same feed with different lenses.
The result
The firm now has a single source of truth for which regulatory changes were considered in any engagement. Internal audit accepts the trail without supplementary documentation. Engagement preparation time fell measurably across the regulatory advisory book in the first quarter after rollout.
